The Green Library Network, together with Libraries4Future for the next global climate strike. January 2023 was bleak: the village of Lützerath in North Rhine-Westphalia was evacuated despite immense protests. The RWE Group is mining millions of tons of lignite, causing us to miss our climate targets completely. The energy transition is not being accelerated and confidence in climate-friendly policies has been deeply shaken. Biodiversity crises and climate crises are not going away; there is now talk of global warming of up to 2.8 degrees.
